I was driving back to my apartment when I saw a large bird fly across the road in front of me. Turned out to be a blue heron. She/he was strolling through the water, nice and slow. ...in the opposite direction. Great photo-op, but of course, I didn't have my camera with me, so I had to use my phone's camera. Just doesn't do the heron justice.

Neat Christmas present. I love candy corn! Back around Halloween, I wrote to the company to make sure the animal fat they use in their candy corn wasn't horse fat. It's pig fat. SO relieved to find that out! Mom just gave me Valentine candy corn, so that'll probably pop up on the blog, too.

Mmm, make your own pizza night was a good idea. Sorry, no pictures. But try to imagine a pizza with your favorite toppings on it, and that's what our pizzas looked like! When I lopped off the top of the green pepper, this was the result. I showed it to my friends, and I think Sarah suggested to use it as a picture of the day. My friends know me well. :-)

One of the few text books I'm excited about reading. The Horse Industry Handbook- A Guide to Equine Care and Management. Looks like an interesting book.
