Ponies. Ornaments. Pony Ornaments.

January 9th

The Christmas tree and a lot of the decorations were taken down today. I love having our house decorated for Christmas. It looks gorgeous with 3 trees (1 live, 2 artificial), garland and lights everywhere, stockings hung by the chimney with care, and all the Christmas decorations we've acquired over the years. I'm always sad to see Christmas go. I love being with family, eating cookies, reading the Christmas story on Christmas Eve after church, and celebrating Jesus' birthday. (Maybe one year I'll keep a tree up the whole year and decorate it for each season and holiday.) I took some pictures of the tree, and these are two of my favorites.

We've had these reindeer for as long as I can remember. I love personalized ornaments.
The Painted Pony ornament has a nativity scene on it. On the other side of the pony are three Wise Men on camels, making the trek to see baby Jesus. It's a really lovely ornament.

I got to the barn for my lesson on Saturday, and Boudie was laying in the mud. Couldn't he have laid on the hay like another horse was? Oh well, I couldn't stay mad at him. He's so adorable when he's curled up like this. :-)

Alexis was eating chicken noodle soup, and Nora was super intrigued by the smell of it. She kept putting her nose out toward Alexis to sniff at it. Nora is definitely the cutest pony you'll ever meet.

  1. me and heather are doing pretty good with keeping out tree up, it even has all the ornaments still on it, however they all seemed to migrate to the top of the tree. Cat + Baby + ornaments = DISASTER!!!

  2. Hahaha! I can definitely picture Violet and a cat going after ornaments! Too cute. I wish I had brought my little tree back to school with me because I miss our Christmas decorations. Mom decorated it with mini lights and tiny ornaments last year. :-)
