Babies!

April 1

Usually I order the dates by the most recent first, but for this post, I'm putting them in order of when they actually happened. It makes more sense that way since the April 1-3 posts all go together.

We were so lucky to get to Middleburg just a few hours before Tanga popped out. I didn't want to use the flash, so as not to blind the poor baby, so the pictures are a bit grainier and darker than I'd like.

Mommaaa, what do I do with my legs??

I just don't get how to make them work right!

April 2

Day 2 of the research symposium. Ahh, Middleburg is gorgeous.

How cool is this?!

When can I move in?!?

I mean, I'd really be ok living in the broodmare barn.

With a view like this, I'd live in a shack in the field.

This is Innkeeper, one of Secretariat's sons.

He's a handsome fellow.

"Hey Royalllll!!!"

"No, no, I'm over here, bud!"

"There ya go, Royal."

April 3

This is the little boy, Tsunami, that was born a few days before Tanga. Very cute.

Gosh, these fields are huge! And grassy! And beautiful!

A treadmill. So neat.

A couple good pictures of Tanga, the one we watched being born on April Fool's Day.

April 4

Goosey and his mom, Ducky.

  1. Goosey and Ducky! Thats funny! Is that what you want your barn and house to look like? Those are some nice fields, makes me want to move out of the suburbs and on to some nice peaceful property. The treadmill is cool!

  2. I thought it was pretty funny, too! I loved that farm!! It is absolutely gorgeous. I hope one day I can live on a gorgeous farm with a view like that one. The treadmills are fantastic. What a wild idea, putting a horse on a treadmill, but that mare did so well!

  3. Wow, that broodmare barn looks like an extension of the mansion! Heck, I'd move right into the shack with you if I got to see that every day!

    Awesome pictures, and CUTE babies!

  4. Thanks Caitlin!! There will be plenty of room for you in my shack! :-) We didn't go in the broodmare barn, but the barn we did go in was gorgeous. Babies are positively adorable.

  5. You can have all that one day. All it takes is some hard work. You just need to picture that in your mind every time your struggling to study for a quiz/test. Know what your working for and go for it. Love, Dad
